Cancellation Vexation

Things come up; that’s life.

We understand!

Not every flight that’s been scheduled can be flown. But there’s a wrong way and a right way to go about cancelling a flight. Here are a few reminders in regards to our cancellation policy for all students and aircraft renters:

  • To avoid charges to your account, call us 24 or more hours prior to your scheduled flight to cancel with no consequence.

  • Any individual who is not present at SunWest within 15 minutes after the scheduled time of his or her flight, and does NOT contact SunWest by the scheduled flight time, will lose their reservation and will be charged for one hour of flight time for rendering the aircraft unavailable. (Instructor charges will be added if the no-show flight was an instructional flight.)

  • Any individual who takes an airplane for 24 hours or longer shall pay no less than 2.5 hours of flight time per each 24-hour period.
